Ladies and Gentlemen, Big Head Productions is so happy to announce that the Kickstarter for the final issue of LOST IN THE MIDDLE has been FUNDED! This has been a very personal project, and definitely can’t wait to share the conclusion to the story with all of you.
Keep an eye out for the 3rd and final issue in 2018!
Hey Guys, I just wanted to share with you news about the current Kickstarter I’m running. Specifically for the final issue of LOST IN THE MIDDLE.
If you know me, or follow me on social, you probably know of this comic, a comic that’s my first. But if you’re coming into this cold, let me introduce you to LOST IN THE MIDDLE.
If anything this comic came from a very personal place. See, the story was inspired by a moment of racism in my own life. And though I took a more model minority response to the situation, the protagonist, Aaron, took a more violent response. And from there Aaron lands himself into court-appointed therapy from the assault & goes on a journey of self-discovery and healing.
It has been very important for me that my first comic come from a truly real place, and I hope that those of you who’ve read the first 2 issues felt that come through and enjoyed it.
But as I mentioned, the final issue is up on Kickstarter, and I’m hoping you guys can support the campaign as this project crosses the finish line.
You can check out work-in-progress samples below, and you can find the Kickstarter campaign here.
So I don’t think I’ve made it a secret that Big Head Productions is a solo venture for the moment. If you don’t know, in September 2015, I quit my job, started this company, and started chasing the childhood dream of making comics for a living. But all the while since, when people started asking about the company… had a little bit of trouble putting into words about what I hoped to accomplish with this venture, but then came Pennez.
I did a podcast with them. Over the course of it, talked about what I hoped to accomplish with the dream, the business, and all of the above.
That’s right! I want to give you a Stormtrooper Helmet at Planet Comicon! Basically this is a giveaway. I don’t have don’t table information yet for Artist Alley, BUT if you’re gonna be at Planet Comicon at the end of the month, you’ll have a chance to enter!
